Rosmarinic Acid Ameliorates Deltamethrin Induced Hepatotoxicity and Nephrotoxicity

Aim: Deltamethrin (DM) is an insecticide and widely used around the world. Rosmarinic acid (RA) found in herbs spices Lamiaceae (mint) family has antioxidant, antiinflammatory antiapoptotic effects. We objective to examine protecting efficacy of preventing toxic effects Deltamethrin. Material Methods: In ours study we 28 male rats. Group 1: Control group, 2: RA was given 20 mg/kg peroral (p.o.) for 7 days, 3: DM 35 mg/kg/dose 24 hours before sacrification as a single dose by gavage, 4: RA+ group. Results: BUN, creatinine, AST ALT values RA+DM group were lower than TAS TOS grades higher matched The damage scores aacording those Conclusion: been shown have predicative influence therapy deltamethrin-induced nephrotoxicity hepatotoxicity.
